Three generations sharing not only an abiding passion for Greek<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and Roman antiquities but, perhaps more importantly, an unparalleled expertise in their field. The Turchi <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>family\u2019s story is a true love story, handed down from one generation to the next until Valerio Turchi took over <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the family\u2019s Roman gallery, situated in Via Margutta 91\/A, in 1992.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Galleria Turchi was founded by Valerio\u2019s grandfather and father, Venanzio and Alfredo, in 1960, in what <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>every true Roman knows <\/span>as <\/span>\u201cthe antique dealers\u2019 street\u201d.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The passage of time quite naturally saw successive generations tak<\/span>ing <\/span>over at the helm of the flourishing <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>family business, and <\/span>nowadays <\/span>the Galleria Turchi is both celebrated and much appreciated as being one of <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the few galleries where ancient Greek and Roman sculpture<\/span>s <\/span>can still be admired and purchased.<\/span> \u00a0Valerio Turchi\u2019s deep knowledge of the topic ensure<\/span>s <\/span>that only items of the highest quality are selected and <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>offered for sale, but his expertise is matched by the kind of instinct and intuition that only those who have <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>grown up in an environment steeped in archaeology can truly possess. <\/span>Furthermore<\/span>, the Galleria Turchi has <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>built up for itself a reputation for integrity and unstinting compliance with the laws governing the sale and <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>export of antiquities, working in close cooperation with the Soprintendenza Archeologica di Roma and, <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>wherever necessary, seeking the valuable advice and assistance of the Gruppo per la Tutela del Patrimonio <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Culturale dei Carabinieri.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
